What are Japanese Shoji Screens?

Japanese Shoji Screens are traditional sliding doors or room dividers made of wooden frames with fiberglass paper. They are a fundamental element of traditional Japanese architecture, offering a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.

What size screens do you have available?

All screens are custom made to order.

What is the timing for the screens?

As all screens are custom made-to-order, the production times may vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the design, the size of the order, and the availability of materials. On average, production may take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks from the time the order is placed to completion.

Are there expedited production options available for those who need their Shoji Screens sooner?

It’s important to inquire about expedited services during the ordering process to determine if this option is feasible.

How do I install my screen?

On-site installation is included in the cost of the screen.

What materials are used to produce the screen?

Basswood is used as the base for all of the screens. Traditionally, our screens are made with fiberglass paper; however, we have used other materials such as plexiglass and special fabric upon request.
